"Hey let's have live music!" Yep, that sound like a good idea. All these kids will play for free. They like/love doing it. Since we don't have any customers of our own, they'll bring all their relatives and friends and we'll have a business here. Given our personalities and hospitality , we couldn't give away free cures for cancer.
If we can't invest in a sound system, they can scrounge one up.
But, O.K., we bought our own outfit and some mics. Only our sound guy will operate it, when he isn't cleaning the toilets or stocking the beer cooler. I can't do it, because I am the club owner and I don't know how.
The show is supposed to start, so the musicians will stand around on stage waiting, hoping for a level. Do you think we should turn off the jukebox or just turn it down? The fourteen televisions with the monster truck rally replays shouldn't distract from the music should it?
Gee, the vocals are a little garbled? What's wrong with this guy?
The bands friends are leaving. They are complaining that they can't get a drink and the toilets are stopped up. You think the band could help? They had to move the tables and chairs to get to the stage. What wrong with these guys? I can't make any money if these guys don't pitch in.
Had a terrible night and I hope they are happy. They are keeping me from closing while they load all that equipment they brought. They must own a Guitar Center and brought it all along. One of them mentioned that they are going to rehearse Tuesday and work on some new material.
Can't they just get their crap out of here. What are they waiting for - me to thank them for showing up?
